Apostle Terrell L. Murphy

Bishop Terrell L. Murphy brings more than 25 years of corporate, community and ministry experience to his role as Senior Pastor of the Life Center International

Bishop Murphy was licensed to minister under the leadership of Bishop Eddie L. Long at New Birth Missionary Baptist church in Lithonia, GA on August 28, 1994 and ordained as an Elder on February 4, 1996. While there Bishop Murphy served faithfully as a son in many capacities and undergirded the vision of the ministry.

In March 2003, New Birth-Charlotte was planted in Huntersville, NC by Bishop Long as the first church plant for New Birth outside of the state of Georgia. In 2009 New Birth-Charlotte completed its new and current worship center. The church was considered

to be the county’s largest church project in recent years (a $20 million 85,000 sq. ft facility) that has now grown to be a thriving, cutting edge apostolic and prophetic ministry.

Bishop Murphy sees Life Center International as a continued place of manifested love with cutting edge, transforming ministry. Life Center International is a congregation progressing in a mature understanding of the Kingdom of God, as evidenced by walking out kingdom principles daily and having significant influence in the metro-Charlotte area as it relates to the 7-mountains. Life Center International focuses greatly on being a relational ministry, building & strengthening family, shaping and building the character of our youth, and being a developer of leadership within the ministry and marketplace.

Bishop Murphy is a true Apostle, called as a reformer in the body of Christ. His compassion is to see the Kingdom order of God restored back to its original purpose in the earth. This, he believes, shall come to pass through the administration of five-fold ministry.

Through his great love and compassion for the inner city of Charlotte in 2006 Bishop Murphy established City Dive, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization designed to promote initiatives supporting its mission to engage, equip, and empower families to radically transform and sustain their lives and communities. He also serves as its current President & CEO. Out of that love and compassion he saw a greater need to touch the lives of the people in a more consistent way and on March 10, 2012 City Dive Outreach Center was planted on the West Side of Charlotte as Life Center International’s first inner city church plant.

Bishop Murphy is a native of Granite Falls, North Carolina and a graduate of Appalachian State University where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications. He is a devoted husband of 25 years to Susan Murphy. Together they are the proud parents of two sons, Samuel and Jonathan.
